Realizing the burden of raising school children with special needs, Cong. Gila Garcia of Bataan’s Third District gave P5,000 to the children’s parents.

After all, it was her birthday, February 17. With the staff of Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, the congresswoman’s chief of staff and coordinator Rollie Rojas, the parents were gathered at the lady solon’s residence in Dinalupihan town.

Cong. Gila’s desire to be of help to the people in need particularly the special children had been inherent in her. She said: “Nakahanda po tayo gumawa ng paraan kung ano ang angkop na pangangailangan natin para sa ating mga anak.”

To help further, Cong. Gila said, her office is coordinating with the DSWD for more possible assistance for children with special needs like therapy. She said she is toying with the idea of holding a children’s party every quarter of the year.
